The vision was for more than just a basement suite—it needed to be a cultural experience and an oasis of calm, where natural elements meet modern comfort.

This multi award-winning Abbotsford basement renovation blends traditional Japanese design with modern functionality. At its heart is an “ofuro”-inspired overflow tub, supplied with natural spring water and supported by a circulation system that minimizes waste. The reimagined layout includes a raised living area, a cozy bedroom with elevated flooring, a galley-style kitchen, and two spa-like bathrooms.
